Why white roses?

The “White Rose” campaign was initiated in 2005 on the occasion of the 60^th anniversary of the bombing of Dresden.

The people of Dresden wore the white rose as a sign of overcoming the war, racism and violence and the wish to not associate the memory of February 13^th with anti-democratic and inhuman ideologies, attitudes and actions.

Where can one get a White Rose?

As every year, the staff of the Deutsche Kunstblume Sebnitz prepares the white wearable roses that can be bought for two euros a piece from the Dresdner SZ-Treffpunkt in the Haus der Presse at the Congress Centrum.
