White roses

Why white roses?

The “White Rose” campaign was initiated in 2005 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the bombing of Dresden.

The people of Dresden wore the white rose as a sign of overcoming the war, racism and violence and the wish to not associate the memory of February 13th with anti-democratic and inhuman ideologies, attitudes and actions.

Where can one get a White Rose?

As every year, the staff of the Deutsche Kunstblume Sebnitz prepares the white wearable roses that can be bought for two euros a piece from the Dresdner SZ-Treffpunkt in the Haus der Presse at the Congress Centrum.
